Where is VIN on ENGINE?

I was trying to find the Engine VIN number on my engine but I can't find where it is located so I can run a car fax report, please help.

The car engine has been changed on my 1995 240sx and I just bought the car 2 months ago which is giving me problems. Mechanic told me that the piston rings are worn and I should invest in a new engine.

Can someone please tell me where the VIN number on the Engine is, or if someone can take a picture of the engine and point it out. THANK SO MUCH.

iirc, the vin number is located on the block just past the exhaust manifold at the rear of the engine.
