Also changed the engine oil yesterday and wonder why they put the oil filter in the hardest to get to place they could find, especially if you have no lift and have to crawl under the car with the front wheels on ramps. Next time I am going to pay to get my oil changed. The reason I did it myself this time is because I wanted to use Mobil ! extended performance full synthetic oil and a Mobil 1 filter and they charge $49 for this around here, whereas regular oil changes are around $20. Autozone had a special, 5 quarts of Mobil 1 extended performance (they say good for 15,000 miles) and a Mobil 1 filter for $34.95, or regular Mobil 1 for $29.99.
