Where is the very first Hardbody?

This is great info you are uncovering! I have an 86.5 Hardbody that was bought as a fleet truck the vin is JN6HD12H3GW002829 it is a 2WD V6 5Speed long-bed Heavy Duty (1Ton) oh and power steering. I have seen three more of these floating around and would buy them all if they cam up for sale!

Wow! That's an early model! Does the door tag show the build date? I'm guessing around 11/85?

I am sorry I am not sure what the build date is on this but here are a couple of pictures of my Dad's old 86.5 hardbody. He bought it new off the showroom floor and I have a lot of fond memories of it. I have never seen another truck just like it.

If anyone recognizes the truck or may know where it is I would love to hear about it!I think it went to north Idaho.

Anyone know when Nissan got rid of the hidden tiedowns on the bed rails? This 86.5 had chrome boat clete type tie downs that could be pushed down into the bed rails. My 95 XE 4x4 does not have them.

Hi everyone. I'm a new guy and this is my very first post on any forum. I also have an 86.5 hardbody 4x4 king cab but the sticker is wore and can't read the build date. I am very curious and was wondering if anyone knew another way to find out. I've looked at VIN decoding websites and they don't get that detailed. Here is my VIN in case I'm missing something (1N6ND16Y5GC367975). Thanks for your help.
