If it were a GOP member then it would be across every news outlet every 15 minutes.

All the BS the Union thugs are doing are being ignored as well. When the Tea Party has a rally you have it spread across all news channels how racist and violent they are (without any shred of proof....ever) yet when their own people do crap, like the SEIU beat up the black guy at a Townhall event or what's going on at the current protests, they get very limited coverage.

How quaint. Nothing to see here tho.

Bwahaha.

Honest question: Is anybody in Wisconsin not white?

The unions in my area are predominantly white. Then again, my area is something like 95% white, so that figures...

Hooray red state!

"Of course I'm not an advocate of deadly force against people expressing their views, that's wrong. It's so ridiculous, I can't believe anyone took it literally," Cox said.

Really? YOU DOUCHE. I'll bet you were one of the premature bigmouths that spouted off blaming Palin for the Tucson shootings.

So, WE are all "ridiculous" because YOU can't control your yammering manpleaser?

I hope he winds up living under a bridge, if only to serve as an example to other hypocritical gasbag lefties who spew nonsense then cower when they get called on the carpet. STAND UP for what you said or go hang yourself.

Now - When will Capuano be fired? Hmmmm?

i for one, still blame palin. she was reckless in her evoking gun imagry, no amount of shouting on the part of the GOP will change that she literally placed BULLSEYES on the districts of those who she disagreed with, of which Giffords was one.

if you don't see how dangerous a precident this was, then i just dont know anymore.

also, as for standing up, when was the last time you heard the GOP stand up and actually state their beliefs rather than saying that the LEFT was the source of all evil and socialism? Its like me saying, "DONT ELECT GREG, HE IS A DIRTY ARMENIAN WHO ISNT FIT TO RUN THIS COUNTRY." what i believe in becomes irrelevant since whatever i am cant possibly be as bad as what the opponent is.

"other lefties"????? How about "other righties, too"? Unfortunately you keep putting it on autopilot blaming the left even though Cox is clearly a right wing Republican neocon nutcase.

From his blog:

The link that led me to his blog:

AZ, you should have identified them as "hypocritical gasbags from both sides".

You would. Never mind the fact that we've already established that NOTHING happened as a result. NOTHING.

You may as well have blamed Nick Cage. I mean, he put a pantyhose on his head and waved an unloaded gun at a convenience store clerk in a movie that portrayed rural Arizona. Blame him. Right? No? Why not?

When stuff like that happens in the GOP the usual outcome is a quick "GTFO". When it happens in the Dem party that person is usually asked to be on an ethics committee.

By the way, if the Union is so strong, why aren't THEY handling negotiations? Why does it have to come down to an angry mob? Looks to me like their "fat-cat union reps" are sitting home, counting their money. :poke:

They have been, Greg, but they've been met with a brick wall.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/23/us/23beil.html
NYTimes wrote:Already, the union has agreed to Mr. Walker’s demands to have public employees pay more toward their pensions and health coverage, translating into a 7 percent cut in pay.

Those concessions drew a moment of gloating from Mr. Walker at a Monday news conference. “That’s an interesting development, because a week ago they said that’s not acceptable,” he said.

Bayh's office wasnt any better. I sent him letters and emails to implore him to save Indiana jobs by striking (amending) out the Student Lending legislation in the Obama Health Care Reform bill. I got a lousy email a month later, thanking me for my email and if I should want to talk to his office to call. Same thing happened when CNN was airing sniper videos of our troops being shot in Iraq.

Been reading "Atlas Shrugged". Man its an amazing book, how issues in the authors day seemed like unimaginable, are now reality, and completely accepted by society as normal and right. Its amazing though, how people unconcerned with others welfare, and only concerned with their own betterment, usually benefit society the most, through the innovation they produce in bettering themselves.

NECESSITY is the mother of invention. Not charity, sympathy or goodwill.

Anyway, lots of angry, repressed lefties coming out of the closet and spouting violent rhetoric these days. It's a good thing they're so opposed to gun ownership! :)

My good man. One who places cross hairs on the image of a person can reasonably be seen as targeting that subject. Whether or not such targeting included an implied or actual threat of violence is yet another discussion. Considering the limited mental facilities of our Alaskan playmate, I'd suggest that neither possibility is realistic, however, drawing such a conclusion isn't beyond reason.

If Ms. Palin is guilty of anything, it's her failure to realize how absolutely inappropriate her "targeting" approach was, regardless of subsequent events.

I have a strong suspicion that later this year this forum may heat up a little as we dissect what little we're offered as option to what we have. I for one hope Sarah is relegated to three page foldouts by then.

If you can show me where that happened, I'll concede.

It didn't.

I'm no fan of Palin, but you're describing an imagined, not real, image or publication.

p.s. Perhaps you're thinking of the signs that ACTUALLY placed crosshairs on an image of Mr. Walker (see below), but those were created by ignorant union thugs. There were a few images like that of former President GWB as well, but those were created by repressed and cowardly liberals who wish they had the balls to actually handle a firearm. :)

Wait wait, first of all, the actual symbol Palin used was a surveyor mark. Argue if you like whether it resembled a crosshair, but secondly it was placed on spots on a US map, NOT on a persons head. Lets be clear before we point fingers.

"Limited mental facilities" sounds like a fancy way of saying she's dumb. It's a quaint sentiment - sounds like something you'd hear out on the front stoop of the Old Country Store, but only serves to illustrate the ease of overgeneralizing certain perceived traits. I'd hazard a guess that she'd clobber both of us on a Civics exam, and I know neither of us has successfully campaigned to be Mayor (or Governor). Then again, maybe we're too smart for all that.

I *do* like the idea of a foldout. Maybe we can get Christine Whitman to join in. :)

LOL! "Fleebaggers"

As of this writing, union-owned Democratic state senators are still hiding out in cheap hotels across state lines in Illinois. These Wisconsin “flee-baggers” can’t find the courage to show up for work, but they’re on cable news every hour whining about Gov. Scott Walker.

Meanwhile, our own U.S. Rep. Mike Capuano (D-Somerville) was forced to apologize for his comment that “every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody” — comments he made after pointing out that my fellow Tea Partiers were at the back of the crowd ready to (ahem) donate a few pints.

In Providence, the teachers union president Scott Smith described the arrival of potential layoff notices this way: “Now I know how the U.S. State Department felt on Dec. 7, 1941.”

Layoffs: In the private sector, they’re a part of life. For government workers, they’re another Pearl Harbor.

Do the teachers and their allies have any idea how their threats and tantrums look to the overworked taxpayers who pay their salaries? Taxpayers who can’t retire at 58 and who don’t have guaranteed pensions?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average state government employee makes around $49,000, while the private sector average is $45,000. Meanwhile public sector wages are rising (teachers got an average 4.7 percent raise in 2010) while the rest of our wages were flat.

Not only that, but The Wall Street Journal reported Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers yesterday showing that, in any given year, private sector employees are more than three times as likely to be fired or laid off than government workers.

But what happens when we taxpayers rally in support of what Walker is doing? In Boston, we were shoved and spit on. In Providence, a union member screamed — on camera! — “[Bleep] you, you [bleeping] [bleep] at a Tea Party supporter. In Wisconsin, doctors shamelessly handed out medical leave slips to teachers staging a “sickout” so they could be paid for protesting.

And they wonder why, according to Gallup, union support is near an all-time low.

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/opinio ... rce_rules/

Do you suppose those bleeding hearts who wanted the Tea Party to be more "civil" feel at all sheepish now? What an epic farce. :rotfl

(Oh, and it's been my experience that people who call other people "dumb" are usually of that group with limited mental facilites - kinda like 14 yr olds. It always sounds like projection to me.)

Stebo, that's the second time you've tried to make this absurd justification. What the hell, dude. Why is it so hard to acknowledge that a political nobody getting more attention than she's worth did something stupid and inconsiderate?
