I've learned that most cars produced after 1996 had an OBD II cable somewhere within 3 feet of the driver's seat. Since this cable allows a special tool or a computer software to keep track of certain informations (Check Engine light, RPM, MPG, Speed, Tachy, ...), I tought it would be useful to know where it is.

Does anybody knows ?

M22 Data Link Connector looks like it is under your steering wheel. It is in the fsm.

Section PGPage 41 for the diagramPage 42 for the legend

The FSM is in this forum available for download.

There is a neat device called "scantools" I will be running it in my versa to watch over the ecu and misc stats.

Thanks !

I just took possession of my new Versa and checked to see where the OBDII is. For those wondering, just put your hand on the steering wheel's height adjustment handle and go all the way down under the dashboard.

Now, I'll browse eBay for an OBDII-to-USB adapter and laptop software. Any suggestions ?
