where is the obd 1 diagnostic connector?

wsupz i got a 91 240 and having problem with my fuel economy. Yes, i searched didn't find much, found more stuff on obdII but that's not what i'm looking for.

does any one know where is the obd 1 diagnostic connector at? or does any know how to get codes out manually?

in this post , lessthanjakejohn said there is "no such thing as OBD I." I'm not sure if he just means there is no OBD I in S14s, or there isnt any alltogether...

Sorry, I dont know too much about OBD- but I thought this might help.

as far as i know, you have to unbolt the ecu and put it in diagnostic mode with the screw on the back. Then it has two lights that blink. first light is tens second is ones. ex: first light blinks 2 times second blinks 3, that would be error code 23. that should tell you pretty much everything.

u mean unbolt the ecu from it's bracket not from harness right? thanks for the link.

If you take out the ecu u can reset the computer, but if you are looking for the actual hook up for a diagnostics computer its on the drivers side floor, by the fuses. Right above them on a s14 thats non obd2 at least.
