Where is the NAV DVD?

I thought I read somewhere that the new Gs do not have dvds - the Nav info is loaded or beamed to the unit in some other way.

They don't have one, I called them up and they said it will be another year before they release a "solution".

It's a hard drive-based navigation system, and it's updated using the CompactFlash card slot. I checked with my dealer after I bought my car (in mid-December) to see if there was an update available. They said they only release new updates every 5 years or so. I have no idea how accurate that information is though. Maybe someone else knows?

New updates almost yearly...but, i'm not sure about the 08 and how that is going to work

without the DVD sounds like the dealership gets a little action as you will probably have to go in to get it updated, i'm sure a ploy to keep them makin' a little extra with the nav

Navigation systems are updated on a yearly basis, the CF slot was only available for the 2007 year model and is now discontinued.
