Where is the M built?

Does anybody know where the M is built? I've always that that the M was built in Japan, but I've heard recently that they are built in California. I tried to find out from my dealer, but they was zero help, yeah for South Bay Infiniti.

Hello,All M's are made in Tochigi, Japan. The only Infiniti manufactured in the States is the QX56, which is made in Canton, Mississippi alongside the Nissan Titan.ML

Why does my window sticker say "Final Assembly Jacksonville FL"?

The first letter of the VIN indicated the Origin of manufacturer. J=Japan Our M's are made across seas my friend. No....not in China....in Japan.Final assembly is where upgrades are possibly put on and the vehicles final inspection before it is sent to specific dealerships. Items they may perform include: checking or filling all fluids, tire pressures, install different types of tires for different regions of the US, tightness of bolts & nuts, install the Aero package, put on specific wheels and tires, and check all features and functions of the car.I'm just guessing, but it seems logical to me. Maybe someone actually knows what exactly they do at Final Assembly plants.
