where is the low side?

Hey I know it sounds retarded but where is the low side port? I am topping off my freon and I cant find it...:rolleyes

On my '92 DOHC KA lines it was right by the exhaust manifold. It has a blue cap on it with the letter "L" to denote "low pressure" or suction side.

trace the lines.

low pressure side runs from the firewall to the compressor. the high pressure lines run from the compressor to the condenser [a/c radiator] and back to the firewall.

there are other components [receiver/drier] in the path, but thats the basics.

low pressure port cap is usually blue, high pressure cap is usually black or red.
