Where is the knock sensor?

I was needing to replace the knock sensor... but I can't find it! I have the FSM blow up picture that shows it basically in the area of the middle of the firewall behind the intake plenum... but where is it? I have heard that the intake needs to be removed to get to it... is this true?

You need to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds to get to the sensor.

Thats freakin' awesome!!! Its such an enjoyment to tear multiple parts off of ANY engine to replace one f*cking part! God is "really" shining the light down on me.
