where is the intake air temp sensonr on a 93 240sx?

is the IAT inside the air intake tube near the air box, if so, where, i cannot find it on this car, only the MAF!! Please help!!

Checked my source and couldn't find a location of an AIT are you sure you have one? also why are you looking for it ?

i will try and look it up in the service manual at work tomorrow see if you are even suppose to have one. but on most nissans with a remote air filter it is on the fresh air side of the filter some where.

But for what the hell is the sensor on the hood support post?

S13 motor's dont have an AIT sensor. Came out on the S14's.

On pre-97:Attached to the air filter boxIn the area where the AIV would have plugged into on the S13's.

On 97 (and later):Attached to an air intake pipe directly infront of the air filter box. It's the only sensor in that area. Can't miss it.

As an FYI, it is NOT used to control the engine system. It is used only for on-board diagonostics.

Hmm.. I guess the SOHC had them. The most recent factory service manual I looked at was for an 93 S13.

I believe if it was a california emissions or not was the difference. and weather it had SOHC or DOHC.
