where is the ignitor?

my car runs fine i can drive it some times an hr sometimes 10 minutes before it loses spark and dies ive been told its the ignitor. ive checked codes and nothing comes up

it's a little square thing with what looks like a quarter stuck to it, it has I believe 3 wired going to it , it's located on the inner driver side fender behind the hearlight near the coil

from my experience the ignitor goes out ans stays out, but maybe the Z31's are different, if you have conformed the porblem to be the ignitor you might try swapping one from a junkyard as these are pretty spendy little buggers, could also be the coil, ecu and distributor would be my last resorts

yeah i replaced coil its fine now i got a junk yard ignitor so last chance ill try distributer and ecu thanks man

REALLY!!?? you read though this post and this is what you ahve to contribute? you actually took the time to make a post to jab this poor guy? I'm as bad as anyone for spelling and punctuation, but the good news is this is a car forum not english class

az we've been down this road, if someones punctuation or spelling troubles you so much click the "x" at the top right corner of the window and go have a beer! this is unacceptable and will not be tolerated!
