Can anybody tell me where the idle air control valve is at? I have had posts that this could be my problem. Either I need to clean it out with carburetor cleaner or clean the connection. Which one should I do or both and how is it supposed to be cleaned? Is is near the transmission on the bottom portion of the intake manifold?

It is attached to the rear of the intake manifold collector. It has a screw you should be able to adjust the idle with. As far as taking it out to clean it, PITA.

its a pain in the *** to get off the car. order a new gasket before you take it off . i cleaned mine with some goof off. it had tar like crap restricting the parts from moving freely.

Since my car has about 120K miles on it and I have not touched or cleaned the iacv yet, are you saying that it will definitely have build up that is causing my intermittent rough idle?
