A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

2002 body sentra with a used 2.5l engine that was put in a year ago, unknown model year....it uses no distributor if that helps.

I have the vin off the block3NLCB51D4 1L516313

Anyone know how to read it as to the year the engine is?

The code off the reader is for the crankshaft position sensor (car shut off while driving, turns over but won't fire)

I have the part in hand, and per the Haynes book it is where the transmission joins the motor (but there is no picture)

The only susspect that I cannot rule out is a plug near the oil filter..and slightly more towards the drivers side...that is not using that same socket but is 3 pins like the new part Napa issued.

Thanks for any help you can give in helping me locate the parts location.

Looking up from underneath the car on the driver side, it is above the axle. You have to reach up and around the axle to get to it or really see it.
