If you pinch what hose? The one off the valve cover is relieve the crankcase pressure and to move any oil blown out back into your block or intake..

apparentely its to check for an intake air leak...it says when pinching the blow-by hose(lowering the blow-by air supply), does the engine speed rise.if it does rise then i have an air leak. i just wanna know where this hose is so i can try this.

thanks for replying

The hose is beneath the intake manifold. It connects to your pcv valve which is a threaded component. If you are going to take the trouble to get to your blow by hose you might as well buy a new pcv valve just incase yours it stuck and does not rattle when shake it by hand. Anyway, the easiest way to get to it is to remove the oil filter and the intake manifold bracket. The bracket has two bolts on top and one on bottom. Then that should give you enough clearance to get in there with needle nose pliers for the clamps and a socket with and extension for the valve. You can check your hose for cracks or whatever at this time. The hose costs about $22 from the dealership and is curved from the factory. Good Luck!
