Man i feel like an a$$ asking this but i need to know where the fuel pump access panel is, i took out the back seat and the only thing i see it the air bag module, in the center of the hump, is the access panel under some sound deadning that i cant see it or is it more toward the trunk area, cant really see in there cause i have my amps and speakers mounted in there, please tell me i dont have to drop the tank on the 95 model. I know that in the S13s it can be accessed from the inside, any insite or websites on this matter would be of great help..... thanks Lee

Its directly under the rear decklid (where the speakers are housed, or behind the seat) on the tank hump, under the carpet....

More then likely under your amp rack as most s14 racks tend to sit on that area... :)

Flip your back seat down... pull up the carpet in the trunk access area. Facing the rear of the car it is on your left.

damn it, well not really i guess better just removing the amp rack than having to drop the tank, thanks for the help guys, now all i got to do is remove the amps, trust me they are mounted in there real snug like in a built in inclosed case.........hey just another quick question on the rear of the 95s where do you mount the rear strut tower brace, i now the access holes are under the rear speaker cover panal so does the bar mount through that or somehow below it in the access hole to the trunk thanks, just wandering......Lee

Wow... that's strange... my amps (95 s14) are mounted on the speaker deck ABOVE the truck access. There is nothing in the way of my pump at all. Strange.

Anyway, about the strut braces... there are several different styles with each company chosing a different route. Some bolt to the strut tops and come out above the speaker deck, others bolt straight across the trunk access area from the middle of each strut tower.

Thats the cusco unit like I have, um I can tell youll need to redo your rack as well. I did just to shift the amp sideways so that it cleared the STB...

The nismo unit goes opposite of that and over the rear deck. Check out jspec.com site for an image.

He has an amp "rack" thus I knew he had aftermarket amplifiers. The stock amps are under the deck like you stated, but most amp racks and amps are mounted on the tank for convenience...

uhh are you talking about my rack? what the hell is a rack? why do i need to redo it? this must have to do with audio. i dont waste my money on that ****. 1 door speaker is goos enough for me.

Not your rack fool. Like you said you dont have a rack...

Simply an amp rack is something one mounts one or more audio amplifiers to... which the thread starter has...

Oh Oh OH.... NOW I get it!! I forgot... nowdays people like to 'show off' their amps. When I was an audio nut (too expensive for me now) I always tried to hide as much as possible. I was confused because I couldn't imagine WHY anyone would want to mount amps in such a crappy location. What if you've got big cargo to haul that needs to slide through the trunk access? Just bang your amps all to hell? Oh well.. to each their own. Then again, when you've got a trunk full of subs... I guess you don't have much concern for hauling large amounts of 'stuff' anyway.

Whatever happened to mounting them all stealthy-like. Ya know... behind the dash... under seats... behind pannels in the trunk.. or below the trunk floor (spare tire area)?

well for me the spare tire area is where i have my 3 subs flush mounted in a custom fiberglass enclosure, but like you said to each his own.....and i can still fit stuff thru the pass thru very easly, skis and such stuff....Lee

ok one more dump question, I have still yet to get the fuel pump out of my car, been really busy at work and all, but i do have a question... I have the access panel off and now im looking at the fuel lines that go to the pump and there is a big plastic ring around the whole thing, my thinking is it should just twist off like a lid right? and then the pump comes straight up right? also I kinda forgot to release the pressure in the lines by pulling the fuse and cranking the car. is this whats making the cap so tight cause I cant get it to budge. and I have the transmission half out right now so i need another way to release the pressure. or can i just take off the gas cap and pull off one of the fuel lines and do it that way, thanks for all your help on this matter im off tomorrow and want to get it out so I can install my warborl pump. so if you know any short cuts or anything to make this go smoother please let me know, thanks Lee

nevermind i got the fuel pump out and got the warborl hooked up to the bracket, my only real concern now is that the fuel filter that goes on it, is no where as long as the one on the factory one. its about 4 inches shorter than the factory one which hangs down at an angle will this effect the point at which i actually run out of gas if it not reaching as far down into the tank, any advice on this from people who have done this swap

hey man, i have a cusco rear strut bar and it is bad ***. It costs $165 off enjukuracing.com and mounts UNDER the the speaker locations and in the trunk passthrough. Only thing is you have to cut out tiny 1.5" squares or circles for it to pass through, but it's better than it showing! I did it myself with a dremel and im seriously mechanically retarded. Check out my setup:
