...the air intake temperature sensor? I want to install my timing advance kit, but I don't know where to hook up the resistor...thanks!

I believe it is on the bracket that resides inside the factory air filter box. I'm pretty sure that it is on the top section on the engine side of the intake.

Let me know what kind of gain you get from the kit.

But I removed my airbox and I have a cone filter instead...should I still look in the general area? The unit looks like this: __|__|| || |

Not a very good pic...it's a u-shaped resistor...!

I think it it is somehow connected through the mafs. It is connected to the factory airbox with a rivet. I'm not sure if it is mounted directly to the maf assembly but I'm sure it must be wired through it.

From the front of the head, look for wires. There is a set of wires that go to your mafs from there. Follow them. The Air temp sensor wires are located on the same set. You shouldnt need to do anything with the ATS when using an aftermarket filter.
