I am a newbie to DIY. I can't find the spark plug on my car. Any pointer?

The attachment is my car after openning the hood.

Thanks a lot.

More than likely you should be looking underneath the plenum....in other words the intake.

Leave the plenum alone. The plugs are under the coils--the black things with 2 bolts each and a harness to each. Remove the coils and the plugs are right there. The slight mods they made for the J make it way easier to get to all of them than on the Z.

If your replacing your plugs replace it with the same thing, OEM Nissan ones available at Nissan dealers. There have been numerous threads on this forum concerning the replacement of sparkplugs with non-OEM brands and all the problems they've caused.

I circled three possible positions with the red line. Are they right? Thanks a lot.

You got it! Remove the two bolts. Take the spark plug advice on NICO not as advice, but as a mandate.

If this is your first time doing plugs it's always a good idea to blow out the plug ports with compressed air before removing the plugs. This blows out any debris that might otherwise fall down into the cylinder or keep the plug from seating properly. Oh, and use some anti-seize on the plug threads.

those are the coil packs. remove the wiring harness, remove the two bolts, and pull the coil out. the spark plug will be underneath.

Just *PULL* the coil? I am a little afraid of using rude force . (The first step to DIY is a challenge to me. :P)

Thanks a lot.

Indeed.. I used the twist and pull method.. Sometimes theyre kinda stuck on there...

If its all unbolted (it will twist somewhat freely) you cant break them by lifting up.....
