Where is my oil filter located on my CA18DET? Wow I feel stupid :(

For the life of me i cant seem to be able to find where the oil filter is located on my CA.

Could somebody tell me or give me a picture as to where it is.thanks

Under the intake manifold at the front, right behind the alternator.

Come on guys cut him some slack, he did say he felt dumb already, you don't need to rub it in.

That poor CA.Do you know what an Oil filter looks like?If not, thats probably your problem.

Tim, i think everyone here knows that im a pretty laid back guy who doesn't bust the chops, but this is an all time low kind of question. its like someone not knowing where the Turbo is or someone who can't tell the difference between the intake and exhaust manifolds...

maybe we are being too hard.... maybe the filter fell off when he was driving?

I cant even think of a filter that wouldnt stand out like a sore thumb.

my K&N is white, frams are orange, Mobil 1 are silver right?

it isnt like the filter is small eitherr...... the one on my G is tiny compared to my CA.

Behind the alternator, underneath the intake manifold.

Please download the FSM (Factory Service Manual) located in the Stickies at the top of the forum. It's got the answer to just about every question you could ask regarding maintenence on the CA.
