Did anyone here see the Azeal when it was shown??? 2005 Nissan Sport Coupe Concept... Why did they only make a four door?

Because it had to be marketable.

It's entirely possible that Nissan either did have or still has intentions to sell a Sentra coupe. There was always a 2 door sentra until the B15. But it's most likely that the Azeal was meant to simply give an idea of what the B16 Sentra would look like. Most concepts are merely demonstration tools for Automakers to show off (and test reactions to) styling elements. The Azeal was pretty toned-down and not too outrageous, though, so it wouldn't be surprising if something close hit showroom in the next couple of years. The Altima Coupe is selling very well, after all. It seems only logical that Nissan would give it a sleek little brother to appeal to yet more 2-door fans.

I very much doubt seeing a 2 door outside of the Altima unless it was another Sentra based 200SX/SE-R.

I still doubt that they would. Don't know if the market demand is there for a Sentra 2 door and furthermore, the Altima has a radically different body than the Sentra. The Altima is more flowing while the Sentra has sharper edges.

Doesn't have to look the same as the Altima. The Accord, Civic, Sentra have offered coupe variants for decades. They don't all look the same. What does stay the same is the fact that there are a lot of people out there who (for some reason beyond my comprehension) want a sedan with 2 less doors. That's why the Altima coupe is so popular. People have this odd obsession with 2 door cars. The Alty's looks are definitely helpful (the Accord is so blobular looking now...the older versions looked just like the 4 door but slowly developed a case of confused-butt-itis...and now it has evolved into a fat sagging blob) but it I'm sure it'd still sell well even if it was goofy looking. Look at the Toyota Solara, for instance. It's horrible looking. But there's a group of Camry buyers out there who really want 2 doors. So the Solara sells.

If it has 2 doors, you can be sure people will want it. Doesn't make sense to me (if I have a back seat I want back doors). But I'm very much in the minority as far as most automotive taste issues are concerned.

If there was a Sentra 2 door, it'd look like the Azeal. Which looks like it'd appeal to a LOT of young buyers today.

Hello... the Azeal is a two door Versa isn't it? Not a Sentra, Altima, Maxima.

It's just a one-off concept, not a production car. But the styling is pure Sentra and some of the interior design made it's way into the B16 Sentra.

Nissan did do a Nissan Sport concept that showed what a 2 door Versa might look like, though. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

That's the first I've seen of the Azeal...I prefer it mucho the B16 Sentra sedan. Not sure if Nissan 'needs' such a model, but it sure looks like a logical Civic-coupe/Scion tC competitor. It actually looks like a logical little-brother to the Altima coupe, at least from the front-quarter view.

Plus, the (likely non-functioning) rear of the Azeal looks so much better than the production B16. I don't think Nissan has properly designed a Sentra rear since the B13. The B15 was especially awkward.

And I'll go ahead and place my order for the Nissan Sport. I've seen it before, but man that thing is hot. It would be like a Japanese counterpart to the Volvo C30 that wouldn't have to cost north of $30k with decent options (and it also wouldn't come with the fear that its manufacturer is on shaky ground). Somehow it manages to make the 'cute' proportions of the Versa pretty rad.
