Hi all,

Thought I better change the fluid on the trans so pulled the plug on the pan and let it drain. Read in the guides and directions the trans hold a little over 8 quarts of fluid. Did do a check on the stick before starting and it showed the right levels. After draining made sure I replaced the exact same amount as suggested I had taken out. Ended up with a little over 4 quarts in the pan. I know the fluid travels to various locations but does this sound right? 4 quarts are somewhere else other then the Pan under the car? Am I worried for nothing on this. Precious cargo driving the car :). Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

That is perfectly normal.
The rest is in the Torque convertor and above the valve bodies etc.

I did see directions on how to get more out. Question, if you do not want to go that route, Would it be worth it to wait a couple of weeks to let the fluid circulate and then change again?
