im sure this has been asked a thousand times, but i want one and cant find one to save my life. i know there have got to be a few floating around the states somewhere, but i would even be willing to pay for shipping from out of country if it was in good enough shape. if anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck. You could get one from tomei for a incredible sum silghtly suped up...

Hel you could probably get a FJ24 if your eally wanted. Its a really tall motor though, it wouldnt fit in a S13 or higher chassis without some serious hood cowl.

I think it works in a S12 with different mounts though.

id be building custom mounts for it. i really dont know of anyone that has put one in an S13 here in the states. figured i would be different and see what i can come up with. definitely would not have a problem with having an FJ24 either.

The FJ uses the same mounts as far as I know

Look to Australia, you won't find one here.

FJ will bolt into an S13 with no custom mounts, I did it. Unfortunately the intake hits the hood but a hammer fixes that.

Parts list;RB20 transmission(shifter sits perfect in the hole)RB20 automatic transmission crossmember backwards(moves the transmission back)CA18 front driveshaft(KA or SR may work, I used a CA)one CA18 motor mount, one FJ20 motor mount.

You won't find one in the states but I am sure one of the larger importers could source you one. Not mine though

If I had the money I would just have Tomei ship me a crate motor, it's just $10,000 plus shipping.http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003...#fj20

Yeah, no way you'll find one in the states.

They were in the DR30 though, right? R31 too, or no? I'm sure you can track some down in Japan through the normal importers, if they can get an RB or CA, they can get an FJ too.

Now try to find, say, an MA09ET or something.......not that I know what you'd do with it...

rex - i sent some emails to both companies that you left links for. thank you.

the FJ also came in the S110 Silvia, better known as the 240RS, or the Nissan Gazelle.

ive done quite a bit of searching to try to locate one here in the states and it seems as if there area few that pop up from time to time. i found a thread on here last night that listed one for sale on Ebay about 6 months back. if i only wouldve known what i know now about the FJ's. anyways, thanks for the input guys. ill keep you updated on my search. and of course if anyone comes up with some more info for me, please let me know:

My friend had a FJ20 in his S12 stock in Japan about 7 years back. From what I understand that was pretty rare. I believe they were also in the Techamin(sp?) skylines, like in the pic above.

ive seen the Jaustech site, but unfortunately they dont have any FJ's in stock. and even if they did, they are about $1800 for the motor, and God knows how much more for the transmission. yeah....i could save a little more and get an RB26. im hoping that all the FJ's arent that expensive.

your friend probably had a 240RS or something of the sort. and yes, those are bvery rare. i cant remember the actual numbers produced, but there werent many. im beginning to think that i just need to find a GRX-3 KAI. can you say Nissan race motor?

EDIT: heh...this is USDM240. forgot to log out of my girlfriends account. derrr...
