ok, so I checked my brothers s14's engine codes today and it says it's the Crankshaft Position Sensor... well from Chiltons book it says it's right on top of the bell housing where the bell housing connects to the block. Well I don't see squat there, anyone have any idea where it's at??? Thanks all!

Your gonna have to look down from the drivers side of the engine bay, and you'll see a little silver cover on the top of the transmission bellhousing, take off the cover pop out the sensor.

there is probably nothing wrong w your pos. sensor. That is a very common code that you get with minor engine mods. I got that code after i got headers and took my cat off and got a chip. i took it to a mechanic and he said nothing was wrong with it and he cleared it and it hasnt came back since. so if you have done any engine mods. lately i wouldnt worry about it too much, just erase the code and if it comes back then you could look at it.

Well there's two codes actually, the 02 and the pos. sensor. I resetted the light and drove it around a few blocks, didn't come back on so I put everything back, then a block later, the damn check engine light came back on... too lazy to take out the ecu again since the temps is below zero!

Thanks Guys.
