Hey guys I justed wanted to inform anyone who might be interested in Venus-Auto with parts, customer service, and location etc........

I flew to Sacramento, CA last Thursday to personally see my clip and visit the store. I arrived at the airport ~3:30p.m. and wasn't able to get to the shop until almost 6 when one of his workers picked me up a couple miles down the road. Ron was nice enough to stay although they closed at 5pm. I left a little after 6:30.

I saw my clip (rb26), rb25det transmission, all the other motors around and parts. It was the coolest thing. He was even nice enough to get me some brakes that didnt come with the clip for free since I came so far.

NOW the important part if you have your clip shipped to your house from Venus!!! The shipping company didnt have the means to get the clip off the trailer. I read somewhere else on Nico were a guy had same problem, but I thought he didn't pay extra to get it to the ground. So last night instead of getting my clip they returned it to their terminal. They were smart enough to think they can get the clip down with a pallet jack and lift gate. The pallet itself was 7 feet long by 5-6 wide. The lift gate was only 6 ft. long and w/2000lb capacity. Make plans to get the clip from their terminal near you or rent a fork lift or something to solve this problem.Think twice about using USFBestway as your shipping company! Sorry long night.

This post would have better fit in the stickied thread about where we all got out clips/ motorsets zerothread/115184

I agree that you should have a plan B when trying to get your clip or motorset off the shipping truck. We barely got my motorset off the back of a liftgate truck, and even then it was scary as hell on the way down. I can't imagine trying to get a clip off. Glad to hear you had a good experience with venus. When is the engine going in?

I was going to put it in that thread but i wasnt sure how long it was going to be and i plan on just putting the info that was asked in that thread with a reference to this one so they can read it.

ultimately my dad, mom, and i took it off a uhaul trailer. it was hard and scary as hell. it took four hours of thinking trying and trying and trying again. finally i decided to attached my engine lift to my dad's jeep and lift the clip inches off the trailer and drive off. well it worked but it wasnt pretty and actually didnt go 2 bad but i didnt want to ruin my clip.

the shipping company was nice to my mom and i the following day. they also agreed to refund the charge for lift gate and residental. Ron at Venus was very sincere and nice about it as well and said to send him the receipt of my added expenses as he was going to pay me back for it.

great guy, nice company, long day, but it was worth it. ill send pics once i find out how 2. I cant get it to work. can anyone tell me how. Thanks

The guy who delivered my motorset did it fine with a 6ft wide liftgate and a pallet jack. But... that was a motorset and not a clip.

wow really? who was the shipping company? did u buy from venus auto?

the pallet jack was to short to reach the full length of the pallet and the weight made the back side drag so it was hard to move. plus they had the pallet jack position on the outside (towards the lift gate) so it made the 7' 3" pallet more like a total length of about 8 ft and since the pallet was 5 and half ft wide and the trailer was only about 6 ft wide he couldnt go on the other side of the pallet. so basically the pallet jack would have to be able to float in the air and the pallet wood not be totally on the lift so it was impossible with the way they had everything oriented. not sure if that made sense.

oh plus total weight was around 1500 lbs
