As some of you may know, I recently purchased my sr20det and did the swap myself! Well I just wanted to say a few things about where I bought my motor from!Well I made a WTB post on the zilvia forums back in October saying I was looking to purchase an sr for cheap blah blah blah. Well i get a reply from TND240. I talked to him for a while and eventually decided to make the purchase. He is a great guy, really nice, we had some paypal problems, but sorted them out with ease :D. Along to the motor! It's great!!! I've heard all of these horror stories of like submerged looking motors, or blown cas's and whatnot. Well everything turned out GREAT! The car is running now, everything feels pretty good, no nasty sounds or anything just lots of boost :D. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him and his company JAPAN MOTOR IMPORT. You can contact TND240 at [email protected] or on AOL Instant Messenger TND240S13 and i believe the website is Japan Motor Import Great prices. Great Guy. Great service. -peace

hmm, they seem to be located in Canada, so i wonder how much shipping will be. I'm alos wondering about whats included with that price, because if it's everything, then i might be getting an SR sooner than i thought. : )

hey i gotta talk a lil fast, i'm still at school in mah cisco networking class..but i was originially told 1600 shipped to a local business. It came with everything except for the MAFS in which i just used the stock one, and am about to trade mah ka transmission for a z32..For a few more dollars he sent me a SMIC (which i never used and will be selling if anyone wishes to buy it...it has very few bent fins..i can take pics if anyone is interested..) w/ the bypass valve, but no piping and also a 3 inch downpipe. It's a real nice motor for a real nice price. i am very pleased.

Did you say that you're going to put a Z32 transmission on your SR20? This is the first I've heard about that. What components do you need to swap around? I know that you can fit the KA internals into an SR bellhousing. But Z32? Is the gear ratio better on Z32 transmission? Do you use the trans from the NA or turbo, or do they both have the same gear ratios?

not that this matters in this thread, but you can bolt on the z32 trans to either the KA or SR if you use the stock engine's bellhousing. it requires some custom fabrication, but it would be a good mod if you use the turbo modle's transmission.
