I've been playing drums for about a week and I already got neighbors complaining that they can't hear there T.V.'s. I live in an apartment building and I know sooner or later I'll get kicked out if I keep playing. Its not like I play at night, I play around 4pm-7pm and they still complain. I was thinking about going to some public storage place and playing there, but I don't know if thats even allowed. Just wanted to know if you guys could give me some advice as to what I should do and where I could play.

Pick up some practice pads from your local music shop. It helps deaden the noise.

If that isn't an option, I suggest finding a relative with a house that might let you use a room. Just make sure their neighbors know about it.

When I was younger, I had my kit in the parlour of my house. I used to practice during the Summer from late mornings to early afternoon.

During the school year, I would practice for about an hour after school, and never later than 6pm.

didnt bring kit to college when i lived in dorms, now that im in a house there too ive got them in the basement....honestly though if i didnt have a house id probably seriously consider an electronic kit instead of acoustic, that may be what you end up doing

I play drums in the car. Wheel, dash, seat, arm rest, hand grip, shifter, bam, full drum set!
