I am just wondering, where do coupe owners service their A/C? Do the majority take it to the dealership at required intervals, a private mechanic, or elsewhere? I am just wondering what to do because I hear that the dealership maintenances can get pricey.

I have a private mechanic of 20+ years, so little things, I'll take it to him.

I also joined the VIP club at the dealership, which gives me lifetime oil changes and a discount on parts and maintenance at certain mileage marks, so I will check their prices. Serious stuff, I will prob go to the dealer.

I'll be taking my coupe to the dealer for the first couple oil changes because they are free. I usually like to do most maintenance work myself, so I'll be doing it myself after that.

This also applies to my sister's 2.5S

Are they always free for new cars, or is that a special you got from negotiating?

My car is due for the 3 month/3,000 mile maintenance but I don't want to pay those huge fees, nor do I want to change the oil earlier than necessary so I'm thinking of just changing the oil and getting a check-up later.

Some dealers throw in free oil changes when you buy a new vehicle. I got mine by negotiating
