Alright, you really should search a bit more but I'm feeling generous tonight so I'll do my best to break it down. First, the "custom" lights you are likely referring to are the JDM 180sx tails. They were OEM on late model 180sx cars and were never available here in the US. This conversion usually runs about $450 and can be purchased from some of our wonderful sponsors. Second, there are a few other options. Check out http://www.clearcorners.com if you want to see some absolutely sick LED tails. This will be very, very, E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E. Also, it looks like the newest trend in the JDM world is Altezza-like lights. I've included a pic below to illustrate what I mean. The lights in this pic have been smoked, however. You can purchase these on Ebay for about $300 but be warned, they are pretty low quality in terms of materials and light output.

That should just about cover it.

i was looking for the ones similar to the ones on the 350z...but i like those altezza lights....if there low quality then why are they so expensive and will just snap into place easily?

answer: it's from japan and some money hungry ppl, seeing that as the latest fad among "ricers" and respectable tuners, got the supply and they demand a lot of money for it. just like crazy "USDM" body kit's (what we call rice mainly) will be expensive in japan as that's what they're into.

So as an import mag states it...with Us going after JDM tyte this and that, and the japanese going after USDM tyte this and that...what the hell will happen? will rice finally become "ULTRA COOL" ?

there's always some way to get something cheap...but ya gotta look.

and that info I found was right? right? the kouki 180sx taillights are from '96 onwards!?

ATTN ALL: altezza lights do make your car go faster.... reasearch done by JDM-Dorifto university proves that after modifying to altezza tail lights, cars ran 50% faster, drivers drove 33% better, and when combined with neons...the car proved 86.4% more "fly" & "hella wicked" when compared to USDM taillamps .

-Dan

Note: that was bs.

A very large portion of civics and eclipses seem to have these awesome "custom taillights," and they all get these 15 year old girls. They MUST be fly.

Man, I think we in the 240SX scene are missing out.

certainly college, shield your eyes when you come to my campus. there is one sr powered 240, not even on campus but at the air force base, and everything else is hondas and the like.

well...go to http://www.clearcorners.com/ , they make a set of tails that have clear instead of the amber. other than that, 240s are very anti rice so no one makes altezzas and stuff like that...and lives to tell about it.

opps didn't know clear corners made a set, but it looks stock "clear rear signal conversion". makes it look like an integra, 375 bucks to make it look like a honda? sigh I'll probably just black out my taillights, btw I wasnt necessarily looking for rice/tezza lights. How about 180sx lights for ur coupe that would look kool, or maybe something with LEDs like the infinity g35's, those look awesome.

you would probably have to mold them yourself, only us hatchback people get to run those without issues. pretty much anything else would have to be molded too.

perish the thought, why would anyone ever want to have amber in their tails, i mean it only comes that way in every other car that gets made.

that clearcorners.com is retarded with prices....who would pay that much...plus you wont have taillights for who knows how long.
