After looking through a bunch of build threads, it seems many of them acquired their cars for $2,000 or less.

In the Boston Area craig'slist, there are absolutely NO 240sx's that cheap.

Where do the NE people get their 240's?? I'm sick of waiting....I really wouldn't mind a $500 S13 fastback...

Expand your horizons. Check craigslist listings around you, like +50 miles. I got mine for 300, drove it home. A friend of mine got a super clean coupe for 400 last night and drove it home. This thing was immaculate...only problem is it's got 2 bad injectors. Just look around, deals will pop up but you gotta be quick.

Did all of you guys find the listing @ around $500 or did you talk it down?

From where did you talk it down from? ( Like say, $1,500 to $500 )

they told me they wanted 400 and i gave them 400, no need to go lower on a car that is that cheap already, especially if it is a straight running car.
