Where do these go?

I was cleaning up my SR swap and noticed my transmission leaking in-between the housings. So I separate them to reseal the transmission. These two ball bearings fell out of the housings.

One was located inside the bellhousing, and the other underneath the shifter cover plate.

Any idea where they go?

Is your car making any odd noises during shifting or anything like that?

The SR swap hasn't been installed yet, so I don't know if it would make any noises.

Well it looks like one of the bearings in that trany may have took a crap. Take it apart a thoroughly inspect every bearing, there are several.Here is kind of a reference....http://www.courtesyparts.com/240sx-part ... _1502.html

The bearings are sealed, and I imagine the balls are much larger, so I don't think they would've fallen out. But I'll inspect them anyhow.

Thanks for the diagram. After looking it over I think they fit inside the steel plate sandwiched in-between the two housings.

I think they are part number:

[32241F] BALL-STEEL

and

[32701B] BALL-STEEL
