Thats not the boost controller. That little doodad is worthelss nonetheless though. The idea of it is that when you are in a hot-start condition, the computer opens that little valve up so that the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) vacuum is refrenced to the atmosphere as opposed to the manifold. When this is done, more fuel is added. I think everyone has removed it and nobody has any hotstart problems.
