Took deliverty of my car and it looks good, but the floor mats are terrible and I wanted to get new ones. Where do I get factory floor mats for the 07 M45 sport for a decent price?

Also, what NAV disc belongs in the 07? He tried throwing in a 7.0 with release date of 2004 with copyright of 2003 and it wasn't working right. It had a region for CA/NV and thought that I was in New Jersey. Is this because they used the wrong disc or is there problems with the NAV?

Try

infinitipartsusa.com or ebay.

I you use live.com to search for your ebay purchases, you'll get 25% off all buy-it-now stuff.

Go to you Nav settings and change the region to Cali. The car must have come from NJ, so it is currently set to that. You can change it to any region your drving in the continental u.s.

7.0 is pretty old. 7.4 just came out, so 7.0 is about 4 years old. lots of changes since them. check ebay for an updated nave disc. preferably a 7.3 or better.

For the mats, try http://www.ggbailey.com and build your own custom mats. These are just as good if not better than stock.

so I would be fine with a zenrin/navteq 7.3 then like this one?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...Video

When my sales guy put in the 7.0 disc, it showed a region of CA/NV on the screen, it couldn't find the location where we were in Illinois. We changed the region to the correct one and entered in my home address in Missouri and it said that from Mid Illinois to St. Louis which is 3 hours away, I had to drive through New Jersey???? It still couldn't seem to find out location so wondering if that disc was confusing the system and actually not for the car, so I didn't know certain NAV companies/discs work while others don't.

Regarding the ggbailey mats, they seem reasonable. Anybody order them before? Are they good quality thick mats with good fit?

Yes, that GPS disk will work just fine. The newest one from NAVTEQ just came out; 7.4. It cost me $216 US. That particular E-Bay offer above is mine. Make me an offer I can't refuse..!!

I was told that any replacement OEM floor mats do not have the infiniti logos on them. If you search ebay somewhat frequently you will see some barely used ones with then emblems for a decent price. there have been about 3 in the past 2-3 months show up on there.

I purchased new mats from everythign infiniti; my car did come with the logo on the matt when the car was new (2006 M35x premium) - however the replacement matts do not have a logo on them;

The matts also seem to be be made different, with a more foamy rubber backing, not the thick/heavy backing of the oem matts;

They look fine, and fit well; but they are NOT the same as the OEM ones;tk

jlindy,

You're heading into winter in Missouri. I have a second set of mats for winter which I just installed back into my M this weekend. Weathertech at the below link has some very heavy duty rubber mats that conform to your M's footwells.

It will save your existing mats and surely your factory carpet! And give you time to find just the right summer mats.

http://www.weathertech.com/sto...=2007

I have them for front, back seat floor AND they make a huge one for the trunk. The trunk you'll have to cut to size.

I'm in sales and leave the trunk mat in all year. In my case plastic tubs and other things stay put and do not roll around.

Not a big fan of the rubber mats...would almost rather get some crappy carpet ones to put in for the winter and then throw away come spring.

I just ordered a trunk mat as mine was gone. One quick question, what are the M's suppose to come with in terms of tools/spare tire? I thought I remember reading that there was a full size spare on some models, but could be wrong. Mine has the standard dummy tire.

My car is getting a couple of minor issues serviced to get it all back up to tip top condition. They actaully gave me a LOADED QX56 with NAV and rear DVD as a loaner...that thing is SWEET but the freaking 12 MPG is terrible. Luckily prices are great on gas right now. ha, ha.

Anyone find a good place to replace the mats? My back, trunk and pass mats look perfect. The drivers mat looks good except for the logo.

Wonder if I can just have the logo restitched?

Thanks!

Bill.

Infiniti stopped putting the logo on their mats in 2008, both front and rear. the only mat beyond 2007 that has the logo is the trunk mat.

Gotta wonder, why would they do that?

And you can get the 7.4 for the price of one dual layer DVD, you just have to know how to put it all together

Nissan Motor Corporation has been doing a lot of cost cutting over the past couple years.... anywhere they can save a few pennies. Those of us that have owned Infiniti's over the past 5 or 6 years have also seen a drop in the quality of some components. For instance, its not just the floor mats missing the logo's, the overall quality of the carpet used in Infiniti's since 2008 is significantly inferior to the carpet quality used in the 2003 - 2006 vehicles.

If you want mats with logos on them though you should be able to pick up some 2006 OEM mats on Ebay that still have the logo.

I just picked up a set of black '06 m35 mats for my car WITH the logos at Porter Infiniti , Newark DE. A little pricey @ $135 but worth it,.. he had one or two sets left of black,.. he acted like all his mats had the logos on them, like he has never seen any different. I work in Elkton MD,.. but live in Philly,.. so I went over for an air filter and happen to ask him about the mats
