where do i drill through the fire wall(pics)/ also where do u connect the remote

ok just need a pic of where did u drill the hole through ur fire wall.

also where do u connect the remote wire to on the factory radio(not bose)

i have searched the fourms but i didnt find any thing on where exactly to connect the remote wire to or pics on where to drill the hole.

another question i heard it was better to run the rca jacks throught the oppsite side that i'm running the ac power cable?

you dont need to drill at all just take your glove box out ( i think its 5 screws ) and then look straight back and a little up you'll see a area in the blue insulation thats already sliced from the top of where its sliced go up approx. 3 inches and over to the right 3-4 inches. You will need to cut the insulation back here (dont worry or cut it all the way out it will go right back in where it was after no prob.

look and feel around for a bit and you'll come across a circular black rubber grommet take that out with needle nose pliers or whatever you have that can pull it out. I used 4 gauge wire so i had to only cut the factory grommet on the inside which was the exact circular size to fit slightly snug.(make sure u use the grommet or your wire will wear over time and start shorting out or even start a fire I glued the grommet in place after i fed the wire through it) Just push the wire through about 2-3 feet and you will see it in the engine bay. The rest of runnuing the wire is up to you.

I drilled a hole through the firewall above the brake pedal, i will post pics in the morning.

and as far as the remote wire, you can simply run it into the fuse box. mine is connected to the Radio fuse.

i will post pics of both in the morning, a bit late now.

sorry. i took these on my cell phone before work. it was very hard to get light where i drilled the hole. but you can get an idea of where i wired in the remote wire. i know there are better methods, but this works fine for me. hope this helps.
