you dont need to drill at all just take your glove box out ( i think its 5 screws ) and then look straight back and a little up you'll see a area in the blue insulation thats already sliced from the top of where its sliced go up approx. 3 inches and over to the right 3-4 inches. You will need to cut the insulation back here (dont worry or cut it all the way out it will go right back in where it was after no prob.
look and feel around for a bit and you'll come across a circular black rubber grommet take that out with needle nose pliers or whatever you have that can pull it out. I used 4 gauge wire so i had to only cut the factory grommet on the inside which was the exact circular size to fit slightly snug.(make sure u use the grommet or your wire will wear over time and start shorting out or even start a fire I glued the grommet in place after i fed the wire through it) Just push the wire through about 2-3 feet and you will see it in the engine bay. The rest of runnuing the wire is up to you.
