ive been lookin around for knock sensors for my 93 240sx. i remember seeing somewhere on the forums that they were around 30 bucks... but the prices ive seen are wayy overrr
kragens - 260pep boys - 250autozone - says "its not required for our car" wtf?
what i dont get is... the deal only sales them for about $130
anyone know where i could get one for cheaper? stupid smog is comingggggg

The knock sensors throw a code, but they dont set off the Check Engine Light, so if your worried about that for smog, then find out why else the light is on.
Autozone actually has them for 169.99. Still quite alot for that tiny little pos. I say you go around junkyards and see if there are any on some DE's there. I managed to salvage one from an Altima with the KA24DE. Plus you dont even have to pay, just slip them in your pocket and your good to go.
Now the problem is trying to get to the damn sensor without having to take apart the intake manifold. That thing is so hard to get to.

You can get them for about $100-$125. Go to another forum. One of the main sponsors is not a NICO sponsor or something like that. They have been selling us generally $110 knock sensors for the past two years or so.
Or you can call up not a NICO sponsor. Tell them that you are a another forum member and they will give you 10%-15% off.

And by way of the link provided above by NISTECH, KS's are available for $125, and I'm sure if there's another "dealer" offering them for less, they'd be willing to see if they can do better, give 'em a try.
