an RB20 is what he bought already from that friend, and he'll buy an R34 when the friend finds him one.

JDM Customs, who I later found out were OSAKA motors:(R33 RB25det SII engine set$2600

Customer service SUCKED GIANT A$$. But motor and transmission run strong! I got them because they offer a 1 year warranty, but judging by the customer service I have reiceved, they wont hold to it.

I just bought an RB25 motorset from Tiger Japanese, and thogh it has not yet been shipped, cutomer service to this point has been phenominal! I have received several calls, confirming my payment, updating me as to what part of the process the engine was in, and even making sure I knew the motorset did not come with an ecu or harness, but offering to get one for $400. The motorset also goes through an extensive inspection process and they charge very reasonably for shipping (which is through Yellow freight, tracking numbers provided, A+)

The prices are cheap, but as in my case I paid $1400 for the engine w/transmission minus harness/ecu. Luckily I already had these two pieces lying around.

Anyways, they are great guys and will work to make sure you are completely satisfied.

I will post back up when I actually receive the engine, but to this point my expierence with them has been outstanding!

Ok, I got my engine last wednesday....shipping was great went quickly and smoothly, they delivered to my home and we pulled the engine off the truck with my engine lift.

Prior to shipment though, Tiger japanese called me with some bad news. Upon inspecting the engine, they found that the transmission was bad (had a crack towards the rear) however, the rest checked out great (compression test). They then gave me me the option of still purchasing just the engine. I would be given a $300 credit for the transmission (no where near the worth of an RB25 mission, but it's what their supplier would refund them). I decided to go this method, and use an RB20 transmission as my power goals are fairly conservative. This weekend I spent most of my time tearing the engine down, everything looks great. For an engine with a "cut" harness I was supprised with how much of the harness was actually intact. The only two problems I have encountered so far: one sensor (the purple one) on the AAC was broken off inside the valve, and the turbo seems to have quite an oil leak into the compressor (blown seals). Basically nothing I didnt expect or cannot work with. Overall, I am very pleased with the product I recieved and customer support I was given. I started a thread in which I'm going to log my swap's progress, so check back there for more detailed updates. But, in summation:

A+ for Tiger Japanese

R33 RB26jazz pro partsTexas$3500 (read on)

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I ordered a R34 RB26 motorset after speaking with them. They told me I would have it in a month. They sent me an R33 RB26 without the trans, starter, and a cut wiring harness. This happened early part of 06' and it still hasn't been resolved. They refused to refund the difference in the R33 & R34 or send me a trans. I am currently in legal action with them.

I must say I was highly dissapointed with JDM-Online. They kept a good appearance visuallly on the web and I couldnt find any complains after searching all of the other forums they advertise on. However, here's my complaint.

I called them up and talked to them for a little while about ordering an RB26. I made it fully clear that my intentions were to PURCHASE an rb26, not just 'window' shop. After the first conversation, they had promised to get me pictures of an RB26 and compression numbers by the end of the day. Two or three days later I phoned again and asked where my information was. Nesar said he had just been busy and would do it right now. About 10pm that night I get an email from them, and its one lousy pic of the motor. I dont see any prices, extra pictures or even compression numbers.

I pestered this guy almost every day for a week and half to two weeks solid trying to get info out of them on the RB26 and it took all of my energy out of me. The day i said i would order the R33 motor, he came back and said i'd have to wait until friday because someone put a deposit down on it. Here i am ready to make a credit card payment of 3-4 grand and they are goign to wait a week on some guy that spent 50 bucks on a deposit.

Anyways, I ended up ordering from another place, and said screw jdm-online. It definately wasnt worth the hassle and the place I ordered from even price-matched jdm-online's price.

I realize they probably deal with pestering ***holes like me every day, but they should WANT peoples business, not take it for granted
