Where did they hide the wheel lock key?

I want to rotate the tires on my car, myself. I went looking for the wheel lock key this morning in all the usual places, but I couldn't find it. I looked under the spare tire, and in the little compartment with the jack (it was dark so I couldn't see too well). I looked in the center console and in the glove compartment. Nothing.

Any suggestions?

Ive had the tires rotated at the dealer a couple of times, but I assume they just have a bunch of the keys lying around.

I don't think there is a standard "hiding place". If you can't find it you will have no choice but to go to the dealer and have them remove the ones you have and replace with a new set/key.

I need to get some myself. On my previous car I bought a 2nd key that I kept in my tool box just in case I lost the 1st (which I kept in the glove box).

Good luck....

Did they not give it back to you the last time perhaps?

look in the rear arm rest compartment, seat backs, under the spare and deep in the wells where the jack sits.

You really do have an issue if you cannot find it, as a flat will leave you stuck till you do.

Agree that the last people to take a tire off are who I'd look to next.

Thats a good point that I didnt even think about.

These keys aren't individualized are they? There must be one standard infiniti key right?

They are individualized - up to a point, of course. Not a single standard one - there are many possibilities. The key locks are made by McGard, as I recall.
