Hey all, was wondering where you all got your ca18 front clips from? I've seen them go from 1000-2000. Just wondering what company you ordered yours from and what the total price of it was? Thanks and appreciate it.

Venus Auto in Sacramento. We got 2 of them. Mine has 74Km and the other was Like 90+Km. Both were the full front clip without any body panels or dash (except the gauge cluster) Mine was in good shape - the turbo was nice and tight with easy movement and no play. the radiator was still full and had no internal blemishes all 4 cylinder had full compression. everything was complete and functional. The other clip had a broken piece on the Throttle body, and Venus replaced it. That clip actually came with a few aftermarket parts as well. My CA is now installed and running pretty well.

get, beg, steal, or borrow a business license and venus will give you a clip or motorset (your choice) for around 1200 dollars.motorset would cost much less to ship.

Is this how u were done (metal chunks in engine) or would you recommend them to someone wanting a operable Ca. Any other reliable Ca clip suppliers anybody else would recommend. On the east coast maybe. If not, just reliable.

I am gettin mine from boost boy, I havent talked to him in awhile tho. But he said we were lookin at atleast a month until the engines get to port and he didnt get my money order until the middle of august. Im thinking ill have it soon. look for prices around 1100-1500 and i know that people on this board have gotten good engines from boost.

venus is selling around 1500 a clip plus shipping and they are in america, ship from racing hard and you pay for transport from over seas, then from the port to your house, not to mention all the pain of customs and what not, i wouldnt buy from people overseas keep american money in america you shouldnt get burned as easy

I spoke to jarco about CA's...they said they've only sold one ca clip in the past and it went for 1750. but since they are only 45 minutes from my house if they get another clip i am jumping all over it b/c i can pick it up and i know they have great clips/service.

I got my engine and transmission only for $969.75. I bought it from Soko America in Franklin Park, IL. It took 2 months for it to come in. They ended up acquiring 2 ca18det's from Japan. One of them came with the ecu and wiring harness. Naturally, I chose the one with the wiring harness and ecu. Best part is, is that there was no extra charge. $1400 plus tax is the price for a front clip with everything. They shipped it (to the shop that's currently STILL attempting to install it  ) for free. Of course, I don't know if the free shipping applies to customer's outside Illinois.

They told me it went for $1650 and it included the driveshaft, rearend and fuel pump. I really want to get mine from them, but they won't be going back for another couple of months and I don't wanna wait that long. I'm hoping to find a cheap longblock with manifold and rebuild it and run standalone. Course finding one seems to be my problem....
