Where could I find a s15 helical LSD?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I know this isn't really KA-T related, but this is the only forum I really talk in. Does anyone know of any HLSD's for sale anywhere? or any shops that import them...

I don't really want to waste my time on a VLSD again, and an HLSD would be ideal for auto-X.

Also, if anyone knows these answers...What else is needed to put the differential into a S13/S14 pumpkin. I have both, an s13 and s14 pumpkin.

I have never been able to find a direct answer to these questions.

the rear end gearing in s15s are in the 2's or low 3's somewhere i believe...so be prepared to change out some gears or go slow as hell.

to answer the question, ive seen a few floating around ebay before.

You need the S15 output shafts nothing else will bolt up. They do appear on e-bay from time to time.

I think the final gear ratio is like 3.79? No? I know for sure it's not in the 2's.. 3.5's or 3.7's wouldn't be bad for a KA-T though. Increase top speed a little.:D

I heard you could reuse some kind of gear pin or ring or something out of your diff with the s15 hlsd and keep your 4.08... eh??

The stock ring gear mounts on the diff cover. So yes, you can keep your stock final drive ratio.

SCC has a good write up of installing a Quaife on their project Silvia, and installing an S15-R diff would be very similar.

I have one S15 helical in stock, and several in transit from Japan. The one I have now does not have the shafts, but I also have the shafts in transit.

There is a shop in Walnut CA (J-spec USA) that is advertising new shafts, and I ordered in 2 sets, but it was a scam !!!

The S15, like most other Nissan diffs takes 2 different length shafts (side 'A', and side 'B').When the shipment came in today, all that came was the side 'A'.This Rip-Off joint will not return my calls or e-mails - so be ware!!

So now I will have to order 4 more side 'B' shafts from Japan.

For the complete set (S15 helical & both shafts) I get $650.
