Courtesy Nissan is good, but man, you have to be a baller to buy new modlings from dealership. They are damn expensive and some of them are out of production. You can get them from junkyards, but they won't last long. Good luck with your search.

Well, it's either dealership or junkyard my friend. You can get best price from Courtesy or West Covina Nissan.

The molding on my trunk was so cooked that it would'nt pop the lid when I pulled the lever. I went to nissan to order. He said there were only 2 left. I bought 1 and the other could'nt be found by the dealer who showed it in their inventory. Soooo, I'm proud to say I got the last trunk weater strip. I dont know what you should do. Call a bodyshop and ask where they find their strips if they cant get from dealer.

Yup! That's what happens most of the time. They should be able to get it from Japan though, but you have to wait forever. I bought a set of s13 coupe door moldings and last one was in stock, but the other one came from Japan. I paid about $250 something like that and waited about 6 weeks to come in. I have an extra s13 coupe trunk molding that I pulled out from a junkyard.

Part # for hatch opening on s13: 90830-40F00There are 3 in my local Nissan warehouse, and 21 available.

If you are a coupe owner there is one dealer in the country showing it. They may be tough to get but let me know which one you are looking for and see if it is available.

I can't believe they're actually discontinuing parts for cars that are still on the road. That's just plain wrong.

Yet, you can build your own GM/Ford/Chrysler vehicle by ordering all the parts, even for crap that doesn't exist on the roads.

Why can't it be more like the American manufacturers, or even Toyota? They mass produce hard to find parts like these ( make a batch of anchor bolts and Z32 NA hubs already ya f***ing pansies) and sell them to shops such as Two'sRUs (for MR2's), etc. It's cheaper for the companies, for the independent shops and for the customers since it's sold in bulk.

How much is pricey?

I have seen used trunk moldings on ebay, you could give them a try.

$136 really isn't bad.Its an investment having a 20 year old car. Something as important as the seal of your window, buying new might be worth it. especially if its still available as new. Its really sucks when used is the only option. Instead of loud exhaust or cheap body kit, make your car usable. I'm not picking on mau5trap but the boy racers who buy bright yellow steering wheels and have a ugly rusty hatch lid. or the exhaust that hurts your ears and their car over heats because replacing the radiator isn't as obnoxious as a 10 inch coffee can exhaust.Save a little money, mow lawns, rake leaves or steal. New is always nice. When its rubber, new is always best.
