Where can I get a clip? I have some sources in AUS. to get motors, but other than that, where? I've been looking into Flashoptions and Venus... Anyone got any others? At the moment NSR is not an option...

Your customers are getting what they paid for months later. I simply do not like the way you have conducted business in the past. I cannot allow myself to trust you at the moment. I have no idea how well you can keep getting clips, or anything at that matter. You have been a man of little honor in the past, things like that don't change overnight. Your little shop endeavor has brought heartache to many over and over. Honor means something to some people in this world. Perhaps things will change for you. I wish you the best, however. Maybe once you become more established, I can buy things from you, trust must earned. Once again, this is not a personal attack. It business and I wish you the best.

I got my motor set from Luis at http://www.dragdriftautox.comThey sell clips as well. I was very satisfied with the service. He called me helped me understand the way the delivery would work. Sent pictures before shipping and tracking numbers.

Night,I think you are trying to build your company and it is just going to take time. Including myself, alot of people are starting to consider giving you some business. The best way to gain a good reputation is to just make sure you take care of all your customers. It is advertising that you can never buy, and the most valuable you can get. I work in a business where 70% of our new business comes from referals of existing customers. You really have to satisfy your customers to get that kind of referal rate. Problems of the past will be forgotten overtime, as long as there is no new problems to keep the past alive.I assure you that if you take care of your existing customers and new customers, that they will market your business for you.

I mean just look at me, I recommend Mckinney, DDX, and horsepowerfreaks all the time. I don't get anything for it, I just do it because they were nice, and did what they said they would do. If I decide to get something from you and I am treated the same way, then I will gladly recommend you as well.

Venus is great. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Flash Options.

I didn't say I wanted to go to Flashoptions, simply stated they are the only two that I could find outside of my AU sources. I'm looking for more direct from Japan/SE Asia sources...

Then again I just found a 1977 Porsche 911 in need of a rebuild. There are some pretty cool 993 Turbo widebody conversion parts.

Been in contact with venus for the past week about my dented oil pan and bent brake booster outlet, and they have very good about communicating with me.. Basically I email them in the morning and they get back to me later that day. And as of now, they have agreed to send me replacement parts no problem...

Go with Night. You can go with someone that has what you want and is willing to go through a bunch if sh*t to show you he's got it in hand<--NIGHT, or You can go with someone who tells you they can get clips<---other.....Night has proven to many he is not going to screw people over. He could have shaded out and never to be heard from again, but instead he took the hit and made things right. That right there is good business no matter if it took longer than it should have, and no I am not a customer of Night.

I used The Toy Shop Automotive Although there website wasn't the flashiest, they delivered. Actually there was one problem... The dumbass shipping company in California wouldn't talk to my friend who was recieving my clip for me, so I had to personally coordinate the shipping from 700+ miles away resulting in numerous headaches and high phone bills. Needless to say, their service is excellent. Response to emails come ni promptly and once you get over there terrible website, they are probably one of the better parts sources out there. Shipping is a killer, but I'd be glad to do it again. I even got original Red and white GT badges from the fenders (o^_^o)

i bought the motor set, with intercooler, ecu and harness from ddx for I believe $2700+350 in shipping. I think they have pricing on there website http://www.dragdriftautox.com A lot of people recommend getting a whole clip, but I got everything I needed with the motorset so it is your choice. You could probably find one a little cheaper, but at least you know someone has gotten one and it was in good shape. Drove it to work all this week :)

i was on the phone with him for a good half an hour. he said he charges the same for R34 clips as he does for R33 clips. [GTR]

i told him i would be happy with either one as long as its not an R32, so i dont have to collar the crankshaft. he said he would make sure of it as long as i could give him a few weeks. i told him its gonna be atleast 5-6 months, and he said hes got me covered.

i just want it to not be an R32, and i want low km's. he said its not a problem, and from his attitude and others happiness with his service i trust him.

I tried to PM you put I am not able to, I just had a couple of question for you about your RB25 that you got from http://www.dragdriftautox.com. Since you did not get the front clip and only the engine and stuff, was wondering if the install went fine without getting the whole clip. Also how was your engine that you got from them, was it in good shape inside and out? I am thinking in getting the engine set + the factory IC like you did for $2700. Thanks for any input that you can about your swap and your purchase from http://www.dragdriftautox.com. I will be purchasing a rb25 in a few weeks or so and am figuring out which place to order from.

And yes Night, I am thinking about getting it from you also. I just have spent the last 1+ year trying to get an SR when my motor person filled for chapter 11 and it has taking almost 4 months to get my money back. I realy do not want to go through the deal again. And with your (past) history I am a worried about it happing to me again. I know you are getting things turned around so you are on my list also for suppliers for my Rb25.

Sorry guys for the long post, but if you know what I have been through the last almost 2 years you would now why I am asking all these question.

Please guys, give some input :)

The install went fine. I used mckinney mounts and driveshaft, so that uses the KA xmemeber. I did it by myself with and engine hoist and jackstands in one day. Routing the intercooler and piping was a pain and took most of an additional day.

Condition of motor= excellent. hadn't been washed, which I liked, because I could see if anything was leaking. started first crank, and I have been driving it to work and it runs great.

The only thing that was messed up, was the oil dipstick got broken in shipping. (I just flattened my KA stick and scored new marks to match the RB, so I could check my oil. Ghetto but, I spent hours at a junkyard trying to find one that matched the RB, and no luck)

Overall, I agree with most people here. I had a good experience and Louis answered all my emails and questions and called me. Sent pictures before it shipped, and it arrived when it was supposed to.

If you go with a motor set you will need to use a mounting kit, which I would recommend doing anyway.

Let me get this straight:

You used the McKinney Mount set w/ drivetrain and the KA24 xmember? Did you have problems with the power steering lines or anything?

Thanks NISMO_RB25 for the feed back from your install. Sounds like a engine set maybe be a better thing then getting the clip. I was planning to get the mckinney mounts anyways and also have them do my wiring. I do not want to mess with the wiring myself and have a chance of frying something. For $2700 that is a freaking awesome price, plus shipping will be cheaper for a set instead of a clip. Anyway's thanks for the feedback guys

Yep, RB25DET into 92 S13 with Mckinney mounts and driveshaft. The high pressure line loops back some, but it connects right up.
