Hello All,

After my recent adventure fixing my fuel pump relay I discovered that I am missing the internal fuel pump filter on my 85 720 original fuel pump. It orks great otherwise and I really hate putting an aftermarket pump in so, I as wondering if any of you knew where I could find a new filter that fits inside the fuel pump. Ive tried all of the auto part stores and I even called Nissan directly. Nissan no longer makes or carries the filter so I'm sort of at a loss here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

no idea man... i was looking for a charcoal canister filter and apparently nissan discontinued that too

I try to maintain manufacture originality, but alas its impossible when the stop making the necessary parts. Some things just need changing. Good luck finding the original filter.

anyone know if i put a breather filter on the line to the tank if that would be sufficient enough to remove the canister? if so i will do that

yesterday i went to a junkyard about two hours away from my house and they got a fairly good condition 720 datsun that has most parts on it next time im there ill ask about the filter if they have it ill ship it to ya

mine came from napa. however if you look on ebay for the pump it was used on a lot of things you my be able to find it that way
