I just got a 09 versa, but it doesnt have remote entry. Every time I want to get into the car I have to use the key. I even have to reach accross and unlock the passenger door if I have a friend with me . Where can I buy a remote system for the versa? I am looking for a fairly cheap solution. Thank you.

Do you have power door locks? If so then you might be able to get a remote. If you do not have power door locks then you won't be able to get the remote. There are kits that you can buy where you install power locks in order to have remote keyless entry. My brother got one off EBAY for his car.

My brother's car did not have power locks and he bought a kit off Ebay and now he has an alarm w/ power locks/keyless entry. I'll ask him today what kit he bought and then you can take a look. It took him and his friend hours to install it though. So be prepared to spend some time doing this. I'll find out and let you know.

I'm guessing you have a 1.6 like me. I too am in need of this info as to what to buy. I'm pretty sure you will need any alarm and then some acuators to add the power locks.

It is alot of work to add this. All door panels need to be removed and wiring needs to be ran to each door. I don't think I want to do this myself. I would assume an alarm shop with some experience could get the job done in a couple hours. I think I'm just goin to pay the labor on this one and I don't say that much.

Yes, alarm and lock acuators will be needed. If you can install yourself, then can get off of ebay or something.

Otherwise go to stereo/alarm dealers.

I really wish I could install this myself. Ebay has these things for dirt cheap. I mean all four actuators and the alarm for like $70.

I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but you could check out some viper alarms. I had one on my old car and it worked great. You choose the location for the kill switch, change alarm tones and other features. There are some alarms that have remote start, impact sensor and GPS tracking.http://www.viper.com/

They might be over your price range at Best Buy, but it's worth a look.http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...egory

Hopefully, that helps you out.

If you don't have power door locks, want keyless entry and don't want an alarm, this one is for you. It's $119
