Spacers are the devil's tool. They allow wheels with poor offset to be installed onto a car they would not otherwise fit.
A spacer in it's most common form is a piece of machined metal (usually aluminum) that fits between the hub of the car and the wheel, which makes the wheel sit farther away from the hub. This lets wheels with bad offsets to fit onto a 240sx.
The good wheels with good sizes and offsets don't need spacers to fit. The good wheels also usually cost an arm & a leg.
