WHEELS! they are called Wheels! sorry just a pet peave, anyhow, Centerline sells up to I believe a 17x7 that will fit your car, I love panasports, revolutions are another favorite, Keizer, Kodiac, Real and all the true custom race wheels manufacturers can make wheels to your specs but expece $1500-$2000 a set, the sport max and konig rewinds (looks like a panasport but heavier and cheaper) are about the most budget friendly option

Not every 17 x 7 will fit. It has to be a 0 to +10 offset or you are going to spend twice as much money on adapters and/or spacers . also They are 4 x 114.3 (4 x 4.5) Lug pattern also not to easy to find.

evildky was right as usual about the brands that sell decent Wheels. And I'm guessing since your sixteen you probably don't have a big budget so stick with the Konig's, they're cheaper and heavier but they still have some pretty cool designs.

i too am lookin for some wheels for my zx . but i am trying to stay a bit more conservative on the diameter im looking for 15" wheel ive been looking at some 15x8 0 offsets but confused where i read somwhere it said they'll work and somwhere it said they wont i dont want a 7" wheel to me thats too small im looking for somthing a bit beefier without getting fender flares

Somthing that would be more flush with the fender and not sunk in like all the zx's are that i see I hate the way that looks.

Basically could i use a 15x8 0 offset all the way around, maybe a 225 or 235 tire...wider in the back than the front?..is this possible?...

I ve been going search crazy for days now and im going insane .

*** Ive been really wanting to get some bbs rs wheels if anyone has any insight

whay model of ZX? I'm going to assume you're talking about 79-83 280ZX, the sportmax 15x7 are supposed to fit and area a 0 offset, the centerlines I think only suggest a 7" for the Z's

as fro tires, if you run the same wheel width frotn and rear you should run the same tire width, on a 15x8 most 225 or 235's should fit, but you might find the 235's to be a tighter fit around the body, but some tires fo same size are wider than others, falken 615's kumho exsta mx's are both lines that tend to run wide

Yes tahnks man ^sorry i am talking about about the 79-83 Yea i had seen that centerline recomends them but wasnt sure if they were playing it safe.

so will the 8" w/ a 0 offset work anyone who actually has them.????

id like to maybe start with a 225 /60 be a bit better than my 195's lOl

oh i thought since im using a 14" wheel with a70 series , if i went 15" i should use a 60 series? ok ..i thought the 50 series wouldnt be enough so 225/50 15's on a 15x8 0 offset wheel hmm anyone got a pic of those by chance

BTW the shark fins are actually called vortex generators. i know they use them on airplanes on the tops of the wings ..helps create i guess somkind of distubance in the air over the top of the wing ...i dont know the science of it i know it gives them some more knots (speed) ..on the datsun idont know what they do unless someone actually tests them in a wind tunnel i know on aircraft they have to be placed in the precise spot if you break one off your Fu*&ed

So basically just for looks. I know the MR Evo's come with them but then again they're functional on that car if its pushed to the limit.

you don't want vortices. That is what creates drag.. I would say the fins smooth the flow over the rear wing. I would call them vortex reducers.

the original 240z has a drag coefficient of .47, the 280zx has a drag coefficient of .32, an Enzo has a drag coefficient of .31, and a a 4x8 plywood board is a .48

the 240 is has major aerodynamics problems because of the vortex it creates behind and under the car. lowering and and adding a front splitter, fins and diffusers will help tremendously

you can get it near .31 if your good. 500chp and you can go 210ish

hey guys, i like the wheels but TOO HEAVY about 25 lbs a wheel... heres how the car looks todayas you can see i added a big@ss carbon wing... BOY DOES IT WORK!i think its kinda ugly but it does add a sh!tload of downforce. The guys on hybridz.org have tested these S30 cars in an actual windtunnel and yes the vortex generators work well on this car as does the front air-dam.but right now i have the motor out to get it ready for boost! headgaskets, camshaft, rockers etc.... more info on my cardomain http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2314369

much like the air dam, sideskirts and rear bumper cover on your car

and the stock S30 has ssuch a terrible drag coefficient it's had not to improve upon it

and when you run wheels that big they are gonna be heavy, my old 15x7's with race tires were 30 lbs each, my 17x12's are 50 lbs each, add power till no loss is felt
