I'm goning to take a trip down to the junkyard pretty soon, and I would like to know which vehicals commonly have the best turbos. I have gone down before, and I was clueless on which cars to look in, then ended up taking one out of an older Audi, that ended up not working. I hear that z31's have good turbo's, but they don't have any z31's at the junkyard that I go to. Please help me out.

What about looking at trucks (transport type), most trucks use a turbo setup. You'll be able to find some I/C's as well.

Box truck intercoolers are sweet looking and cheep. I got on for 150 bucks but im not skimping on a turbo. I expect to pay around 500 for a good used t-4...

Buy a new one from Turbonetics. They will make it for your application and you know your not getting junk. In a yard it's a dice roll. The cost is a reasonable $650 which is a great deal if you've been looking at the cost of turbos.

Yeah, You can spend $750 and get a shiny new turbo, which Turbonetics will stand behind, or you can spend $200 and spit a wheel through the engine.

BTW, Anyone wanna buy a Hotshot Header for an S14? Email me :)

There's a guy here in Bowling Green who has a shop and wants to become an authorized Turbonetics dealer and needs a one time order of $10,000. He wants to find as many people as possible who need turbos and he's willing to sell them pretty much for what it costs him. If anyone is interested, let me know...this is the shop where I do all my work....he lets me keep it there and use his tools for no charge...great guy and knows his s***. I'm there pretty much everyday so if you have any questions, let me know. I'll try and get some prices if you let me know what turbo you're thinking about.

True that! They do group buys if you can get 10+ buyers.
