I need all new rotors and brakes since I'm starting to get chassis and steering shake on brakes. I know I want slotted brakes but I haven't decided on brakes yet. I only have around ~180-195 hp so I figure I probably don't need ceramics. Any suggestions? I'm doing the install myself trying to keep the costs down. What would be the cheapest set up while maintaining name brand performance?

The shake is very slight without brakes I am getting my tires balanced and rotated as well to help take some of the steering wheel shake at the 70-85 mph range.

Do you get shake while not applying brakes on the interstate? If so, this could mean a great many more things for you, like new tires and a four-wheel alignment at minimum.

To answer your original question, I've used Brembo and EBC rotors on my previous Altimas. The EBCs that I got were zinc coated and slotted and they were wonderful. RockAuto.com carries them, I believe. They were a little pricey, but they lasted well up until I traded my coupe in.

I only get slight shake from unbalanced wheels.

Yea I would say maybe around half inch to 3/4 inch shake while braking. And I would say 1/4 of an inch shake occasionally at 70-75 sometimes 80.

They are worlds better than before. All wheel shake is gone even with out balancing the tires! Im still going to do that. more than likely today.
