i'd appreciate any input. my wheels might be coming in soon. i know there are tons of places online. i'd like to order from a place with a good rep known to you guys. my tire choices are down to the ST115 or the FK451. can anybody steer me towards a certain model also? thanks.

i didn't even know tirerack sold falken tires. their website doesn't even list them as a choice! plus last time i checked on the sports, they didn't offer a 245 series tire. i plan on using a staggered setup. plus i heard they suck in wet weather. the FK451 has a lower treadwear rating than the ST115, so i suppose they're more dry performance oriented with some wet weather grooves. the ST115 looks a lot like the dunlop sport A2 passenger tires i use on my maxima =P. but it's a popular drift tire anyway. i could easily get either tires as long as they're available. if anyone has experience with these tires let us know! i'd like to buy from a place with good/fast service.

interesting. the FK looks so aggressive though. i probably will go for the ST115. i know of a few people who like them. just wondering if there's a better dry performer that's also somewhat decent in the rain.

My brother got the RT-215 from edgeracing.com. Very good buying experience, cheapest place, and got here in 2 days.

What do you do most with your car? Drag or road race, or just run it on the road.

I am pretty sure that Tire Rack does not sell Falken tires.

If you are looking for a mail-order source for Falken, try http://www.victoriatire.com. I bought Falken Ziex 512's from them for my older Q45. Prices are not as good as Tire Rack (for other brands), but since they do carry Falken ... give them a look.

For checking rim fitness and load indexes, go to the Falken web site at: http://www.falkentire.com .

By the way, the reason I say to do this is important. You must make sure that the tire size you want is correct for the rim width (neither too wide or too narrow) and required load index for your car. For example, Infiniti Q45 owners must make sure to get a load index of 95 or higher. Preferably higher (if you do not get Michelin tires for example - they do thorough testing to make sure their load index values are conservative.)

not to diss our sponser but ive always gotten my tires (falkens, yokos) from tires.com. and ive never been dissapointed. im not sure what tirerack sells, im pretty sure ill get my R compunds from there one of these days. I used to have the FK451s, and i was pretty satisfied, except when i realized that my camber was so horrible it ate the inside of my front tires.

Tires.com is Direct Tires - both the local stores and the direct ship place. Their prices are always higher than Tire Rack, I have noticed, for a given tire that both carry.

However, they do sell Falken, which Tire Rack does not. So, if you want Falken for sure, you can use them or Victoria Tire (my other post has the link).
