Well, this is difficult, because it's a short sidewall, drag tire you're asking about. Not to be confused with sticky "competition" tires like the Azenis or Toyo RA-1.

If it's a Drag-only tire you seek, Mickey Thompson builds a 26 x 10.50-16LT but that's the closest in any measurement to what you're asking for.

Problem there is, your 225/50-16 tire's overall diameter is 24.86" almost 25" and the 10.50" wide drag tire would be squeezed onto the 7.5" wide wheel.

I don't think there is such a Drag-only tire in the size you seek, but somebody might surprise me. Nitto doesn't build one in it's 555 line... nor does BFG. M/T isn't really ideal either.

thanks for the help, looks like a 15 inch rim with slicks would be the only thing to make any sense, just looking for something easy.

thanks again

there's another thread very similar to this, in which Aries tells what he uses for drag radials on his 240. Definitely worth searching for. He explains exactly what fits, because he's one of the very few that actually use these tires.

I think the original poster was looking for a drag tire to fit his 16x7.5" wheel.

why would you want drag radials that big? well if you just want sticky *** tires, azenis or the nitto 555r are good i guess
