yea after about an hour after i made this post i decided to do some research and find out more about the law. Apparently, in VA, you have to get a "clean special fuel" license plate from the DMV. Eh, it was worth a shot.LongBeachCoupe wrote:Bina, come on man...
First off, you should know better than that man.. All you thought you would need is a badge??!
Theres like a Hybrid # they have... and its a sticker they put on the rear bumper... They dont do that by you?
That is freakin' Brilliant! I wonder if people would believe my car was hybrid if I slapped those on the coupe I'm guessing notbina12834 wrote:so for those of you who live in VA or the surrounding area and take the Dulles toll road, you know that apart from the HOV lane allowing cars with more than one person to use the HOV lane, it also allows hybrid cars to use the lane, no matter how many people in the car.
so my thought is to buy some of the hybrid badges that come on the hybrid Alti and glue some magnets on the back of them to stick on my car for the daily commute so i can use the HOV lane.
anyone have any idea where i can buy some of the Alti hybrid badges?
Was it a real or fake dummy? I have real dummies in my passenger seat quite oftensammyboy wrote:I was reading the newspaper(Newsday, a Long Island, NY based paper) and there was this guy who put a dummy in his passanger seat and got a way w/ it for a while until a state trooper pulled him over because he saw the dummy. The trooper laughed but gave him like a $500 fine.
