I saw some people in this forum with this kit. Just wondering how much did you buy it for and where. Btw Does it give more HP,better mileage and does it sound good.

Cheers Mate,jonathan

http://www.knfilters.com/search/dealersearch.aspxK&N is good, but IMO, over-rated...most of the kits available are pretty much the same, performance-wise anymore...plus, if you're running dusty conditions, K&N isn't your best choice, because the oil traps the dust and becomes clogged quickly....I'd go with a dry, non-oil filter type if you're encountering dust. For street only, it's fine....check out the Jim Wolf pop charger before you buy K&N, though..heard good things about it.

thats weird. the air intake has nothing to do with fuel injection. why they would call it that is beyond me!

It's all about marketing, and making a few extra bucks.Calling it what it is (an air filter) doesn't get it sold.It also doesn't get the Company the kind of money it can demand if they call it a fuel injector performance kit. The name alone commands twice the price. It's all snake oil as far as I'm concerned.

I'd go with AutoZone, or whatever the Candian counterpart would be...I don't trust Ebay...

Hey Man, I realize you are in Ontario and the first thing came to mind was yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...Plus from Scarborough..Yayyyyyyyy

Anyhow, You are in scarborough, alot alot alot alot of auto supplies shops around there. You can check out Pacific Mall at Kennedy and Steeles

There is also shops like Speedtech even though I am unsure they sell K&N but I know for sure they sell AEM, but you can always call them up and inquire. When I had my accord, I got it lowered there.

There are also shops like OptionJDM and and maybe even Audio Heaven, even though they mostly work with audio.

Tires23 in Sauga sells and installs these types of accessories also. Even Tint World in Brampton..or is it Tint King?

If I think of any others, I will let you know (locally)

Hey you know what, damn it, try even craigslist and Toronto Kijiji, there are dealers who advertise on there

I have had one on my '02 for several years. It's tough to tell if there is a power increase, maybe a tiny amount. Measurable? I doubt it. I got about .5 MPG better after installing it, IIRC. It sounds pretty aggressive compared to the stock box, which is OK.

The downside is that the filter is more exposed with this setup over stock, and could be trouble in very muddy or water crossing situations. I use one of their poly wraps when offroading in the desert, and have had no problems so far.

Would I spend the money again? No, I'd get skids or sliders, but that's just me.
